     Cambodia is rebuilding a glorious heritage. Given its tragic recent past, few modern travelers have discovered the beauty and richness of this jewel of Southeast Asia. It is again possible to safely marvel at the magnificence of Angkor,the focus of an empire that once extended over a large part of Southeast Asia. Two fine arts schools in Phnom Penh, Cambodia's capital, are reviving the art, dance and culture of the Khymers. The National Museum is undergoing massive renovation. Modern airlines now serve the country, new hotels are under construction,and historic treasures are being restored. Cambodia is rediscovering its roots and looking to a positive future.
