Uttaradit is
a province in the lower part of northern region in the Eastern Lanna
Territory 457 kilometers by drive away from Bangkok, and administratively
divided into 9 districts, Muang Uttaradit, Lab Lae District, Pichai
District, Tha Pla District, Nam Pard District, Fak Tha District, Baan
Khok District , Thong Saenkhan and Tron District. |

Sirikit
Dam
It's Thailand's largest earth dam, 60 kms. away from the province,
construct to contain the Nan River in the area of Tambon Phaluad,Tha
Pla District. Sirikit Dam offers very beautiful views; particularly
in winter, the serenity of the atmosphere above the dam in the
midst of decorative plants and flowers additionally arranged,
which would bloom beautiful to challenge the wintry wind go
by. |
Sakyai
Boranical Forest
Located at Baan Pang Klia, Tambon Nam Krai, Nam Pard District.,
92 kms. from town. There is the biggest teak tree in the world.
It is 47 m. high and about 1,500 years. |
Phraya
Phichai Dabhak's Monument
Located in front of the Town Hill of Uttaradit Province, built
in honor of Phraya Phichai for his valor, bravely, patriotism
and self-sacrifice. When as the ruler of Muang Phichai in Krung
Thonburi era, when the Burmese attacked Muang Phichai, he marched
his men to intercept the Burmese forces, defeated them and repelled
them home. In that battle, one of his swords broke, but he gained
victory over the Burmese forces. For he said deed,he was called
"Phraya Pichai Dabhak". |
